Preserving a Legacy
Perhaps the most unique and alluring aspect of reimagining the Hardwick property and structures is the ability to repurpose the farm through a revitalization of those assets that are already in place. This would include the home itself, as well as some of the barn facilities and the surrounding grounds — both of which lend themselves to entertainment and hospitality uses that will engage the community. Our development team has prioritized the preservation of these components, approaching their reinvention with creativity and practicality from both a design and economic feasibility standpoint. A boundary around the existing structures has been clearly delineated in the masterplan with the understanding that maintaining their existence and application is of significant importance to the Hardwick family.
Below are a series of images that illustrate other properties and venues in the Southeast that have undergone similar renovations with the objective of evolving into commercial ventures that are sustainable and frequented by the community at large. The development team’s goal is to identify multiple scenarios in which the Hardwick estate and its grounds can be seamlessly incorporated into the larger masterplan.
